the vision

SCROLL DOWN

the vision

During lunch with a friend in 2012, about nine months into her union, she shared with me that she was unhappy as a wife. As we discussed the challenges of marriage, I recognized that many women have not been taught what it means to be a wife; we don't know how to be a wife. I was inspired to do something, but not sure what that something was. I talked about it with my husband and he encouraged me to develop a plan.

Fast forward to December 2013 and I had made a decision to have a wives retreat. I started on this journey by sending out a survey to find out what would be of interest to wives. Women expressed interest and excitement about what was to come.

My planning was halted after losing my own husband in April 2014. This significant life event inspired me even more to support women in their marriage journey.

The Circle of Wives movement was born in August 2014 with a small gathering in my home. One year later, the initial concept, the retreat, became a reality!

Many were strangers...

Initially birthed from a desire to support newly-wed women on their marriage journey, #CircleofWives has grown into a movement encouraging women to...

BE HAPPY. BE HEALTHY. BE WHOLE.

as individuals and in their marriage.
